surgery

yesterday did not go how i had envisioned, but it went and it is over and that is the BEST part. the picture above is Caleb waiting sooo patiently from 8am to 10am with no breakfast. and, of course, everyone had matching bracelets.
one of the three women that we sat with to do paperwork gave CRASH, his rhino, a tag too.

this was in waiting room 2... the silly juice was just starting to kick in. although, in this pic it looks like i drank the juice. :)

this is waiting room 3...the first 1/2 hour after the surgery was the worst. he is finally calm in this pic, but that was after the crying, trashing, and screaming. he wanted that iv gone and he was in a LOT of pain. no one explained to me that the pain meds are not given until after they wake up and that there would be a 20 to 30 minute window of time that he would be in severe pain. :( mommy had a hard time with that!

the final results: the adenoids were moderately enlarged and now gone, he had fluid on both eardrums although it was not infected at the time, we have antibiotics for the next few days, and ear plugs for water! he has been his normal happy self today and that is a relief! for some of your own relief... the comic kind... you can check out the two videos that we shot pre-surgery, but after the silly juice... i'll be posting them soon!
