we got to watch the fireworks in our neighborhood on saturday. we were decked out with glow sticks from grammie and poppy
we met the loeffelholz family there and they had homemade blueberry frozen yogurt. so yummy!
daddy even got off of work to enjoy the sweaty festivities!
and today we met up with the L boys again and had our very own independence parade complete with balloons, streamers, and flags.

they waved to all the neighbors and wished them a happy 4th!
this one decorated his bike but didn't want to ride it... he walked instead!
and then there is this little guy! :)
happy 4th everybody! now i am off to have homemade rocky road ice cream! yummo!
um...homemade rocky road ice cream recipe please??? Looks like a fun 4th there...it's the simple things - fireworks, decorating bikes, homemade ice cream....love it!
