A CALL TO PRAY

wow! the Lord has brought caleb so far in such a short time!

friends and family.... i know you all remember the season that we endured just over a year ago with our son, caleb. now we are asking you to pray for our friends tom and jodie as their son will be undergoing open heart surgery on tuesday morning around 7 am. please pray for...

the peace of Chirst to fall on their family at this time
the steady hands and clear minds of the surgeons involved
the strength of and healthy recovery of baby tommy over the next few days

your prayers were much needed and such a blessing to us.... please shower this sweet family with the same fervent prayer!

Allie's first date

Lance and allie had "daddy and me" time this morning. It began with her waking up with an invitation to go on a date. She had to check yes or no... so, of course, she drew a circle in the yes box! She got dressed up, picked out a purse, and headed out the door to a surprise location. When the happy couple returned, all allie could tell me is that she went to mcdonalds and ate pancakes.... most certainly the highlight of her morning. However, daddy said that she has a great time at the animal museum as well. They were gone for two and 1/2 hours! WOW!

fun in the big D

this week lance was recruiting in dallas and the kids and i decided that we'd go there too. on tuesday night we drove to terrell and met up with my sister and her kids. we ate at cici's pizza and let the kids run the game room until they were about to drop. after getting back to jenni's (my sister) house we let all four kids take a bath together.... caleb was not real thrilled with that idea, but allie had a blast. (no pics of all that fun... sorry)

the next morning, we drive to DBU and got to see daddy for a little over an hour. we were really glad to be back together - if only for awhile. the kids ran everywhere and squeeled in the lobby of a dorm.... sorry to all those college students... after all, it was 9 in the morning.

that afternoon we went to my friend, Ashley's house, for an extended (two day) play date with her daughter, Anna. we went to a play area in the mall (see pics), target, and mcdonalds (details on this event are not for the faint of heart... i'll skip that one) to get the kids out and about. the temp was so low and the wind was so high that going outdoors was out of the question! we had a great time with them and i pray everyday that God would move our families closer together!

hair cuts!

the kiddos finally had their hair cut by someone that knew what she was doing... ie: not their mom! HA. they did soo great while joy cut their hair. of course, our kids will be always be great if food is involved and they both got to snack on yogurt covered prezels while she worked. soo, yes... that is food all over caleb... he really enjoyed his! in the end, allie got some bangs, caleb can spike his hair again, and mom got some good advice! i took some during and after pics!

i worked for pine cove this weekend and lance got to spend some extra time with the kids. they had an absolute blast with daddy becuase he is so CREATIVE! they built blocks, made tunnels, and even pitched a tent in the living room. and if that was not enough... they got to watch a video and eat in there too!!! i know, i know... he's amazing!

fishing for leaves

lance, allie, and caleb were blessed with some fishing gear for christmas. when the weather warms up they are going to reel in the BIG ONE, but for now... they are just fishing for leaves!

christmas in the car!

this holiday can best be summed up in two words... the car. we did it ALL this year and had a blast doing it! lance, the kids, and i celebrated by eating out and opening gifts on the 22nd. the next morning we loaded up and headed to bartlesville, OK to visit his family. on the 28th, we took allie (leaving caleb w/ grammie and poppy) and went to manhattan, KS. allie was the flower girl in cody and emily's wedding and she also got to see snow for the first time ever! after the reception we drove through bartlesville, picked up caleb, and headed HOME... but only for one night. the next morning it was off to simonton, TX to celebrate with mandy's family. we have attached a picture of each event... ENJOY! i'm' sure you'll all be glad to know that we've decided to stop our nomadic behaviors and settle in here in flint once more!
