high stakes

thanks to our crazy pastor and the insane fun that he has with his family... we've been inspired to do the same.  game nights at our house are almost always "high stake!!"

we played ZINGO (which is the greatest game to play with kids of all ages) and the results were a little sticky.

the losers had to put hot fudge on their faces and ask the neighbors for pudding pops.

Baptism Sunday

If i can give our church one compliment, it would be that they do big well.  my thought before we moved here was that there is no way that things could be done well or even truthfully when you get so big.  I was wrong... way wrong.

Baptism Sunday is no different.  They do it well.  for those declaring their faith, the journey begins in advance with several steps that they walk through.  however, on the day of...they break everyone into small groups and have those getting baptized share their testimony.  You can walk anywhere on our campus and hear declarations of God's hand at work in His people.  Then it's a full morning of praising God for HIS goodness!

the kids really enjoy this day and even allie is showing intrest in getting baptized next year.  We told her we need to have more discussions about this in the future!
we're really grateful to serve at a church that puts TRUTH first and encourages all it's members to make a public display of their old self becoming new in Christ Jesus, our Savior!

Mother's Day

The kids with LOTS of help from their wonderful daddy...
made this mother's day super special.

They woke me up with Starbucks coffee and tyler roses (all four kids were born in tyler)!  Allie and Caleb both had cute things that they had made at school for me.  I really do cherish those treasures!

after church, we headed to chicken scratch which is a fabulous resteraunt that we love.  the kids played on the playground and we ate outside.  it was a low key/stress free lunch!

later that evening, i layed on a blanket in the yard while the kids played.  it was super relaxing.

i'm so grateful for these four faces that have challenged me and help me grow.  they have loved me and hugged me and made me laugh sooo hard.  oh, how i love being a mommy!!
